Yesterday morning, I attended UserVoice’s monthly Community Manager Breakfast to share ideas with some other community people over coffee and scones. The topic was essentially, Why is Content So Damn Important to Community Managers and also Why Does Everyone Keep Throwing Around This Useless Vague Term. So we broke that down into a discussion that went back to basics. We talked about the whys, hows, and tools to analyze content’s effectiveness. It’s important to get back to the groundwork after you spend all day throwing around the term “content strategy” and “community building” with your product and marketing teams. This extensive conversation was a great reminder of why and how we do what we do as community nurturers.
